The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show was first held in 1992 with a total of 265 exhibitors. Today the show has grown to a total of around 600 exhibitors and the showground covers an area of around 34 acres. From the shows humble beginnings therefore, it has now become the world’s largest flower show!

Those super-sunny Summer months of strawberries and cream are upon us again (we hope!) and not a moment too soon. Time to relocate to Murray Mound and see if our wonderboy can slay the evil Spanish dragon. (actually Rafa seems like a brilliant bloke but c'mon its our turn by now surely!).
In a mid season break from our tour of Britain's best towns and cities, we're turning our attention this month to a global sports event like no other. Winning at Wimbledon is the absolute pinnacle for most tennis players and a great many of the fantastic finals of this tournament have seared themselves indelibly into our memories. With a host of iconic sportsmen and women once again doing battle for the 2 coveted singles crowns, we're in for a very tasty treat indeed.
