Castle Crescent Serviced Apartments In Reading

Having been on other viewings in Maidenhead and Reading all morning I finally arrived at Castle Crescent apartments...
My immediate thoughts upon arrival at the residence were: Wow! What an absolutely beautiful Victorian building. And just how quiet it seemed even though it was so handily placed justminutes away from both the town centre and train station.
I was met on arrival by the lovely Juliet who happily showed me around.
So, getting a bit factual here, so that you’re in the picture, so to speak: The apartments are spread across three townhouses next door to one other. Once you’ve gained access through the front door you’d (if you’re staying!) be able to collect your keys from the key safe. Checking out is similarly simple as you just drop the keys back in the drop box.
Great for an easily distracted person like me! And I also found out that although there’s no actual reception on site, there are staff on site most of the time. Upon booking, of course, you’ll be given all of the necessary self check in details, so no need to panic!
So, first of all we viewed a 2 bed apartment, and I was impressed by the big windows allowing a lot of natural light in. Lovely! Additionally, all of the 2 beds have 2 bathrooms. Even lovelier!Nothing better than not having to share a basin...
Generally, it just felt like a impressive space and the building features worked very well with the apartment furniture. The particular apartment that I viewed also had a separate utility roomwhere the washing machine was, which I liked. But I’m a bit weird like that, it might not be as exciting to everyone. (uh…no – Ed)
My favourite apartment was definitely the 1 bed apartment duplex. Ok, right…sorry, but it’s time for a few more facts: The lounge and kitchen is downstairs along with a toilet, and upstairs you have a large bedroom with a full bathroom . What made it for me were the sky lights in both the bedroom and bathroom which made the room feel so much bigger. I also liked that you have a desk/dressing table. For a sartorially stylish girl like myself that’s a major selling point right there!
Getting back to those facts! All apartments have full kitchens with a dishwasher. And there’s even a safety deposit box in all apartments…AND you’ll have choice of freeview channels! Yee-ha!
Extra beds, cots & high chairs are all available at extra cost, and from what I could see, there appears to be plenty of parking available (which is included in the rate). Internet however, IS chargeable but that can apparently be negotiated according to Juliet!
Another plus point that got a big thumbs up from me was the outside space, with a gardenwhere you could sit out with a cup of tea in the morning (or a glass of wine at night, after a long day!).
I really liked these apartments - they certainly weren’t your bog standard, however I could see how either a family or individual corporates could be very comfortable here. And as if to prove my point, these apartments have been given a 4 star rating from Visit Britain!
